Vivid Gives Businesses Full Control Over Employee Spending Together With Visa

October 29, 2026
  • New Card-Linked Services, built with Visa: shows entrepreneurs and finance teams exactly where company cards are stored across the web. It is one of five tools now built directly into the Vivid business account — no extra software, no extra login.
  • New data: 44% of active business cards sit in a merchant's checkout, ready to be charged — often without the company knowing.
  • Full coverage: one application for all employee spend management, instead of juggling several finance providers.
  • This step strengthens Vivid's position in the financial platform market, extending its reach far beyond digital finance management.

Berlin, 29 October 2026 – Vivid expands its partnership with Visa to strengthen its position in business spend management. With a full set of spend management tools now built into the business account, SMEs can manage company cards, subscriptions, spending limits, employee access and payments with a single tool — instead of relying on multiple providers.

At the center of the launch is a feature developed in partnership with Visa, enabling businesses to see where a company card is stored online and stop it before money leaves the account.

Vivid's premise: businesses should not need extra tools to manage what they spend. Today, many pair their bank account with a separate provider for cards, subscriptions or approvals. Vivid closes that gap by bringing everything into the account businesses already use — instead of adding another one.

Where the Money Actually Goes

New data from Vivid shows the scale of the blind spot: 44% of active business cards on the platform are currently sitting in a merchant's checkout, ready to be charged at any moment — often without the company even knowing.

A common pattern: an employee signs up for a $9-a-month tool during a free trial, then forgets about it. Nobody cancels it, and the card keeps getting charged — sometimes for years.

For most businesses, spending is scattered across cards, apps, subscriptions and employees. Hardly anyone has the full picture. That costs money twice: once on tools nobody uses anymore, and again in the hours finance teams spend trying to track it all.

According to Zylo's 2025 SaaS Management Index*, more than half of all purchased software licenses (52.7%) go unused every year — even at large companies with dedicated IT teams. For smaller businesses managing spend across cards, subscriptions and employees without that kind of infrastructure, the blind spot is likely just as big, if not bigger.

Finance teams are often left without a clear view of where company cards are stored, which subscriptions are still running, or who can spend what. The result: wasted money, and wasted time.

How the Card-Linked Services Works

Existing subscription trackers only look at payments that have already happened. Vivid's new Card-Linked Services, built with Visa, is different: it finds where a company card is stored before it is ever charged, not just after.

With it, businesses can:

  • See where company cards are stored, across apps and websites.
  • Spot recurring subscriptions before they add up.
  • Block individual merchants.
  • Stop unwanted payments — so-called "zombie subscriptions" — before they happen.

Four More Tools, Same Account

  • Custom card limits & restrictions – set spending limits, restrict cards by merchant or category.
  • Instant card reassignment – hand a card to a different employee without cancelling or reissuing it.
  • Custom roles & account access – decide exactly what each employee can see and do.
  • Custom payment approval flows – require approval before defined payments go out.

All five tools sit directly inside Vivid Business. No separate app or separate subscription needed.

"Business spending is one of the biggest line items on every company's balance sheet," says Alexander Emeshev, Co-Founder of Vivid. "Managing it well — simply, with full visibility — saves real money and real time, and it should be a core part of every company's financial management, not an afterthought. We want Vivid to be the cockpit for that: one place where founders and finance teams see everything happening with their money, and can act on it immediately to improve their company's economics."

Laurent Verstraeten, Country Manager of Belgium & Luxembourg at Visa, says: "Every business should know where its money is going before it leaves the account. As spending spreads across more cards, apps and employees, Visa's focus is to give small and medium-sized businesses visibility, control and confidence over every payment, all in one place. That's why we're partnering with Vivid."
