Barcelona, March 21, 2022 – The mobile financial platform Vivid released several new features as part of its new app version 2.0 today. Vivid 2.0 brings features to the app that were highly requested by the community: Spanish IBANs, savings plans, and an all-new cashback program. After a year of its launch in Spain, the company has reached over 100,000 users and is celebrating today with the announcement of the arrival of the Spanish IBAN. In addition, users can now set up free savings plans for regular investment in over 3,000 stocks and ETFs, as well as precious metals such as gold and silver. Vivid 2.0 also brings the next version of the community-loved Cashback feature. With Cashback 2.0, Prime cashback are increased on the one hand, and standard users now also receive cashback for every purchase.
Spanish IBANs
Vivid’s mission is to create the best and easiest experience for people’s financial lives, to provide a local experience on a global scale. To accomplish that, new Vivid-users in Spain will now have access to Spanish IBANs. Thanks to the incorporation of the Spanish IBAN, new customers will be able to easily receive their salary in their Vivid account, as well as pay for certain services and subscriptions. In addition, customers with the Spanish IBAN will no longer have to declare their foreign account on their tax return if their average balance or maximum total value exceeds the legal thresholds, as it is requested for assets abroad. Local IBANs in Spain are available for all newly registered users already as of March 17. Likewise, Vivid is already working on possible solutions in the near future for existing customers who currently have a German IBAN and wish to switch to a Spanish one.
The new service developed by Solarisbank, the European Banking-as-a-Service platform, offers more flexibility to Vivid users and allows for more open access to the local financial ecosystem. In this way, Vivid becomes the first partner of Solarisbank to offer a local IBAN in Spain to provide added value to its customers. Although all public and private institutions must currently accept accounts with bank addresses located anywhere in the European Union for any money transaction, the reality looks different. Unfortunately, IBAN discrimination is still a big issue in Spain and Europe in general. Therefore, the Spanish IBAN avoids certain complexities which are today often generated by infrastructure issues, as many companies haven’t updated their systems for years.

Savings plans
Vivid Invest has significantly simplified the barrier to entry into the world of investments. With easy access, free learning materials, the Vivid Beat community feature, and last but not least, one of the most affordable cost models, customers can make more of their money right in their banking app. But especially when investments are to become a financial cushion or retirement provision, a one-time investment is not enough. With the savings plans, Vivid customers now regularly invest exactly the amount they want to put aside – starting with as low as 1 Euro. With access to more than 3,000 stocks and ETFs from the U.S. and Europe, as well as precious metals, the savings plan feature enables the creation of a secure, future-oriented, and diversified portfolio. Even though investments should be made especially for the long term, sometimes things turn out differently than planned. The dishwasher stops running, the car needs repairing, or the kids need new shoes every week - Vivid customers have real-time access to the savings plan pocket and can move money to other pockets as needed and dispose of it directly.
Investments in Stocks and ETFs is free of charge for all users. For investments in precious metals, a commission of 1 Percent for free users and 0.5 Percent for users with the Prime Plan will be billed per Trade.
