Berlin, 29 September 2021 – Vivid customers are able to invest in fractional precious metals from now on, the Berlin-based fintech announced today. In addition, Vivid is working on expanding trading hours to 24/7 trading and linking the physical or virtual card with the newly offered Precious Metals Pocket. This will enable customers to pay for their purchases directly with fractional precious metals. For now, customers can invest in Gold and Silver 24 hours from Monday to Friday.
Investing from as little as 0.01 euros
Customers can use the new pocket to invest fractionally in Gold and Silver from as little as 0.01 euros. The new feature will be available to users in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. The roll-out starts on the 29th of September.
First Vivid app, then Precious Metal Pocket
Retail investors who want to invest in precious metals via Vivid first need the Vivid app and then a pocket. Once this is set up, they can create their Precious Metals Pocket. With this pocket, customers can profit from the potential increase in precious metal prices instead of buying physical metal bars directly.
Alexander Emeshev, Co-founder of Vivid, commented on the introduction of the Precious Metals Pocket: “We are delighted to announce another big milestone of our product roadmap. Customers can now invest and save with precious metals which is an important new feature in our services. Now I am really looking forward to offering our customers the opportunity to invest 24/7 which will be a complete game-changer.”
Offer in cooperation with CM-Equity (CM-E)
Vivid enables investment in fractional precious metals in cooperation with CM-Equity AG. There are no custody fees for the fractional precious metals in the pocket. Customers on Vivid’s standard tariff benefit from low trading fees and zero fees for position keeping while prime customers will pay a trading fee that is two times lower in comparison to the standard tariff. Customers can invest in Gold and Silver at the start, further precious metals will follow.
